Whipsnade Zoo

Whipsnade is part of the Zoological Society of London and  is one of the largest and most beautiful conservation areas in Europe with stunning views across the Chiltern Downs. It is home to amazing animals such as elephants, rhinos, and lions, sea lions and penguins plus the cheetah rock. There are talks from the keepers throughout the day; there is always so much to do at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. For approximately £5 extra (paid in the zoo) you can take a ride on one of the two impressive steam engines, Excelsior and Superior, as they weave their way through the territories of some of the world's most inspiring animals; with an exciting commentary,you will go on a safari adventure!
