Festive Chatsworth and Bakewell 2022
3 days in the Peak District
This special weekend break takes us to see the house all dressed up for the Christmas season. Decorated with foliage, lights and candles, as well as scenes to evoke the spirit of Christmas. We also visit the delightful town of Bakewell for a little while. Here you have chance to browse around the shops and find that elusive present, or you can even sample the original Bakewell Tart, in the Original Pudding Shop.

Friday
Depart in the morning travelling to Derby. Sightseeing time in the city centre before checking in at our hotel in the suburbs. 2 nights stay – dinner, bed and breakfast – at Mickleover Court. Welcome tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.
Saturday
We make the short journey to Bakewell where we have time to look around the town and enjoy a coffee break, perhaps with a slice of Bakewell Tart from the Original Pudding Shop. We leave around midday for Chatsworth House, delightfully decorated for Christmas, where we have chance to obtain lunch before exploring the house, with opportunity to visit the shop.

After breakfast we leave and begin our journey home, our main stop on the way is planned to be Stamford.
