Day 1 Monday
Devon has long been the most popular holiday county
in the land, and it is a pleasant drive south-westwards to
arrive there during the afternoon of the first day of the holiday. 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast plus entertainment
at the hotel.
Day 2 Tuesday
The first of our excursions covers the local area, known as the Devon Riviera and as you will see, the resorts haven't lost their own individual identities. Compare the contrast between Brixham's fishing harbour, Paignton's sands, Torquays luxurious greenery and palms and Babbacombe's secluded coves.
Day 3 Wednesday
This is your day at leisure in resort. There are lots of places for you to visit; perhaps go to the Model Village or Bygones in Babbacombe; Kents Caverns and Torre Abbey in Torquay; Oldway Mansion or the Zoo in Paignton or the Dartmouth Steam Railway. Just some ideas for you....
B, DDay 4 Thursday
See the Devon countryside as we make our way to Dartmouth, the important sailing centre where the Royal Naval college is located. There is a lot to see in the harbour town and plenty of places to eat and drink. From there you could also visit Greenways, the home of Agatha Christie (optional).
B, DDay 5 Friday
Breakfast, then leave for home enjoying the drive
through the varied scenery of such counties as Somerset and
Wiltshire
