Day 1 Monday

Depart in the morning for Wales. Arrive at the Exchange Hotel for 4 nights dinner, bed & breakfast.

Day 2 Tuesday

We make our way towards some mountains – those of the Brecon Beacons where several peaks are above 2,000ft. We stop for the sights of the historic town of Brecon on the River Usk. This can be
before or after our included ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway, part of the Merthyr-Brecon line, abandoned in the 1960s and rebuilt as narrow gauge. Travel from Pant alongside the Pontsticill Reservoir and as far as Torpantau.

Day 3 Wednesday

A leisurely start to the day as thereis free time for the city’s many sights. The Castle, Civic Centre, National Museum of Wales, St David’s Centreetc. are within easy reach of the hotel, but closer is the
Cardiff Bay area, the huge regeneration area with exciting developments of every kind. In the afternoon a short excursion to Penarth and Barry Island on the coast.

Day 4 Thursday

We travel the short distance to St Fagans National History Museum, one of Europe’s foremost open air museums, exploring all aspects of how people in Wales have lived, worked and spent their
leisure time. Admission free. Then some more free time in the Welsh Capital.

After breakfast we leave for home
