The first Flower Festival was held in 1964
more than forty years on this bi-ennial event continues and has become a regular fixture at the end of June in the calendars of garden lovers and those who wish to soak up the atmosphere of a traditional English village on a summer's day. More than 20 gardens of various types, shapes and sizes are expected to open their gates to welcome visitors. In addition to the horticultural treats which will greet the garden enthusiast, visitors will also be able to enjoy music from Huntingdonshire Concert Band and Somersham Town Band on the lawns of the Old Rectory, one of several gardens in which delicious teas will be served. Other attractions for the weekend will include vintage cars, bicycles and tractors
