Visiting Hastings first in time for lunch and on to Rye in
the afternoon. Hastings, dominated by the Castle, has a 3 mile
long promenade, historic net shops and a fishing fleet:
much-photographed Rye has medieval buildings, smugglers' inns
and cobbled streets.
