Day 1 Friday
North-westwards to the Fylde Coast resort of Lytham St Annes for 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast plus entertainment at Ashton Park Hotel.
DDay 2 Saturday
A day in the resort that moves into top gear every autumn and still puts on the greatest free show in the land – seven miles of glittering displays of dazzling lights turning the promenade into a bewitching fairyland.
Day 3 Sunday
Another popular Lancashire resort is Morecambe where we will spend some time. Enjoy the views across the bay to the fells and mountains of the Lake District. Then to Carnforth to see the ‘Brief Encounter’ Refreshment Room at the station. Renovated about 10 years ago, you can re-live the scenes from the 1945 film.

As for so many years, the country’s best free show takes place in the autumn. There is plenty of entertainment too. Following many requests we added a day to the tour a couple of years ago with an extra excursion on Sunday to Morecambe and Carnforth, and we are including it again in 2018.
ASHTON PARK HOTEL
Family owned and run, the hotel offers quality and comfort while retaining a personal touch. Overlooking the Ashton Gardens, it is a two minute stroll from the beach, pier and shopping centre. All the en suite rooms have TV, tea/coffee making, telephone, hairdryer, radio alarm. There is a lift, swimming pool in the leisure centre, ballroom and regular entertainment. Traditional waiter service in the restaurant.
